Pierogie Casserole 15 lasagna noodles 2 cups cottage cheese 1 egg ¼ tsp onion salt 1 cup shredded cheddar 2 cups mashed potatoes ¼ tsp salt ¼ tsp onion salt 1/8 tsp pepper ½ cup butter 1 cup chopped onions Sour cram (if desired) Cook noodles and drain. Live bottom of 9x13 pan with 5 noodles. Mix cottage cheese, egg, and onion salt. Spread over noodles. Cover with a layer of noodles. In same bowl, mix next 5 ingredients and spread over noodles. Cover with another layer of noodles. Melt butter in pan and sauté onions until transparent. Pour over noodles and cover. Bake 30 minutes @ 350. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting. Serve with sour cream if desired.
